Tell us about your love story!
"We first met playing co-ed intramural softball. While Jen has competitive spirit, Brendan loves to win. We were in the worst league in our division, on the worst team. It was about having fun. Brendan would pitch while Jen would be in the outfield cheering on, 'It’s okay maybe next time!' (No games were won on that team). We got to know each other more, and we built a strong friendship. We were each unsure if the other was into them, so the friendship continued to blossom and grow.
On March 19, 2020, when Brendan asked Jen to be his girlfriend and officially date, Jen was extremely confused. She hadn’t been asked out properly in years. So, in her confusion, she said, 'Let’s keep things the same.' And then proceeded to kiss him. Things were not the same. The next day, California went into complete lockdown for coronavirus. Our relationship was built on 5am workouts in Cheryl & Bill’s backyard gym and evening walks around Woodbridge North Lake. Since then, our relationship has grown into the trusting, loving relationship that we thought only happened to the lucky ones. We now realize we ARE the lucky ones."
