"Born an ocean apart, myself in London, England, and Justin in Newfoundland, Canada on paper, it seemed unlikely that our two paths would ever collide. Some call it luck, but we thank technology for that one fateful Tinder swipe and our shared love of pizza that brought us to a little woodfired pizza shop in the summer of 2018 on International Kissing Day. I remember being so nervous and anxious as I was running late, but the moment I saw Justin, all my nerves faded away, and it felt like we were old friends - it didn't hurt that he'd also saved me the VIP parking spot outside the restaurant!
Since our first date, we became inseparable and found ways to spend as much time together as possible. We always say 'when you know, you know,' although friends and family thought we were crazy for moving at lightning speed. We trusted our gut and moved into our first tiny apartment just 5 months later and were engaged by the following spring. Being 28 when we met, I had kind of given up on the idea of finding my person, but we are truly best friends and soulmates. The pandemic may have slowed down our trip to the altar, but now 3.5 years, 1 puppy and tons of memories later, we are still just as crazy about each other and couldn’t wait to start this new chapter of our relationship."
