Despite it being rainy on their wedding day, nothing was going to stop Anamarie and David from tying the knot at White Iron Ridge in Smithville, Missouri. Keep scrolling to hear from Anamarie how their beautiful story took them to where they are now...

"We have a modern-day love story. Girl swipes right, guy swipes right, and they fall in love and live happily ever after. That's the shortened version we like to tell people when they ask us how we met. We originally matched on the app called 'Bumble' where if you become a match, the girl has to message the guy within 24 hours or their 'match' expires. I didn't end up messaging David, so he used a feature called 'extend for 24 hours,' which I apparently forgot to respond to too (oops). A couple months later, David followed me on Instagram. After 6 months of liking each other's photos, I received a message from David asking me to go out for coffee."

"In early December 2016, we went on our first date to a coffee shop and then to an amusement park with a 'winter wonderland' theme. Christmas lights were everywhere and it was freezing, but the conversation and fast-paced walking between David and I kept us warm throughout the hours we spent at the park. I had never been on a date with such a gentleman before. A couple weeks later, we went on our second date, this time we went Christmas shopping together. It felt like we were a couple who had been together for years. I knew he was something special when he went to the toy store with me to buy water guns for my entire adult family."

"David passed the test of meeting my two puppy sons, Jax and Leo. Jax loved him instantly and Leo took a bit more time, but warmed up quickly. I knew David was 'The One' about three months into dating when he rushed over to my house on a weeknight because I found out I had a mouse problem in my home. He came to my rescue and calmed me down! That is when I knew I loved this man. Four years, eight months later - we are happily married with two puppy sons and ready to build a bigger family together. We had to go through rescheduling our wedding because of Covid from October 2020 to July 2021; it was the longest waiting period of our lives, but our wedding day was even better than we could have ever imagined."

Let's talk about how amazing Anamarie looks in her FRANÇOISE wedding dress! Here is how she picked out her perfect gown for her day:

"This was the very first wedding dress I tried on at the very first store I went looking at. I knew from the moment the sales associate brought it in that it was EXACTLY my style. She gave me 5 options, and it was the first dress to catch my eye and the first dress I was dying to try on. The intricate floral lace, sparkling beading, side cutouts, beautiful double train, and figure-flattering silhouette had 'Anamarie's dress' written all over it. Whenever someone would ask me before the wedding what my dress looked like, I would say 'It's exactly what you would picture me buying and wearing on my wedding day'. If the person knows me well, they knew what I was talking about. It was my dream dress."

Weddings are known to potentially be one of the most chaotic times of our lives, but Anamarie and David were able to have a moment to be alone and appreciate the moment which was Anamarie's favorite wedding memory. She was very happy to have her family and friends all in one place to witness a beautiful moment. What made the wedding even better was having her oldest sister arrange her wedding flowers and decorate the venue. Despite the rain preventing Anamarie and David to have an outdoor ceremony, her sister set up the venue beautifully that having an indoor ceremony exceeded all expectations.

Here is some advice that Anamarie would like to offer to other brides out there:

"Don't stress over the small stuff. Not easy to do, but always good to keep in mind. Remember that the day is about the love shared between you and your significant other and your commitment to each other. Take 10-15 minute breaks throughout your day to spend time with your spouse alone and really take in how beautiful the day is because it will go by in the blink of an eye!"
